Well today, while I was playing on my new Macbook Pro the internet disconnected. Looking at the router, I noticed that there were no blinking green lights.
Oh no, it’s busted?
I mean, my Macbook was still on… Then I thought, oh! It’s running on battery! So I tried opening the lights but nothing happened. Thank goodness it’s just a power cut!
I woke up my Grandma, as I thought that some power socket must have overloaded or something… and she told me that maybe it was because the electricity was all used up.
Electricity was all used up?
How could electricity be used...

So after a years worth of planning, nagging and saving, I have finally managed to get hold of my Aluminum Macbook Pro!
I got the higher end model (2.53Ghz model) as I wanted it to be able to be used for about 4-5 years and wanted to future-proof it. Plus, I heard Slow Leopard will be coming out (OpenCL?) so the extra graphics memory etc will help when it is used for day to day applications too. I’m glad I got the ADC Student developers membership too, so hopefully I’ll get it for free when it comes out like with what they did with Tiger and Leopard.

OMG OMG OMG this is so hectic and exciting! Crackers and fireworks are being lit off as we speak as we approach 2009 according to the Chinese calendar!

OMG I can’t hear my thoughts. Big BOOMS outside. When my uncle rang from Indonesia, I couldn’t even hear what he was speaking! It’s that loud!
In the morning, at 5am, my Da Jiu Ma, came with Grandpa’s ashes. It had needed to be before sunrise. My little sister...

Hm… just got linked to the new MSN Live (9) programs on Microsoft’s website. Whilst downloading the new MSN 9 Beta, I decided to install the Writer as well.
The description says:
Create great-looking blog posts, including photos, videos, maps, events, and tags, and publish them to almost any blog service—Windows Live, WordPress, Blogger, Live Journal, TypePad, and many more.
It does just that! After installing it asked for my site URL and login details, then it went ahead and automatically detected the blog type (in this case Wordpress) and downloaded the necessary files.

So 2008 has arrived and I’m back to my blogging (I hope to keep it up)
Every year, there is the TVNZ Netguide Webchallenge where students across the country submit their website creations to win some awesome prizes such as cameras, phones, printers and other nifty gadgets.
So 2008 has arrived and TVNZ Netguide Webchallenge 2008 has arrived too! I’m quite interested in looking at this year’s entries, especially since how the 2007 competition failed in pretty much all aspects of judging, organisation and promotion (cheers Alana!).
Will this year be better than last year? Or will...
