Lao Lao and my 18th birthday on the same day!
Posted by admin in China Dec 08 - Feb 09!, Family, Food, Personal, Reality Wakeup Calls, Technology, Thoughts on February 1, 2009 | No Comments
OMG I’m officially 18! I can finally go to clubs, and do various other things Well, today I am lucky enough to celebrate my birthday together with Lao Lao, as she uses the lunar calendar for her birthday, while I use the normal calendar, and today happened to be the same day!
I got up and my mum rang to wish me Happy Birthday. I went for a shower, and then my dad called and wished Lao Lao happy birthday too and then me (while I was in the shower lol). Da Yi came early and went out for shopping.
Then people came from Tianjin. Da Yi (Da Da), 3 Yi, Da Jiu (Da Da) and ____, Lao Jiu Ma and Li...
If you found an iPod, would you keep it?
Posted by admin in Personal, Reality Wakeup Calls, Thoughts on October 4, 2008 | No Comments
I was browsing around my usual bookmarked websites and I came across a topic, titled:
I found an iPod Touch at school. Do I keep or return?
Whoa, for a minute that I was stunned. Was there a real need to even ask such a question? Whoever this idiot is doesn’t care about anything does he?
Judging from the topic, it seems the user has already gotten a iPod or two since he already has the cables etc.
He knows that a problem would be hiding it from his parents, so he was dim-witted enough to ask ‘how do I hide it from my parents’.
Honestly. Is this how we are heading as...
TVNZ Netguide Webchallenge 2008 - Another PHAIL (fail) in progress?
Posted by admin in Entertainment/Media, Featured Articles, Reality Wakeup Calls, Thoughts, Websites on September 26, 2008 | 76 Comments
So 2008 has arrived and I’m back to my blogging (I hope to keep it up)
Every year, there is the TVNZ Netguide Webchallenge where students across the country submit their website creations to win some awesome prizes such as cameras, phones, printers and other nifty gadgets.
So 2008 has arrived and TVNZ Netguide Webchallenge 2008 has arrived too! I’m quite interested in looking at this year’s entries, especially since how the 2007 competition failed in pretty much all aspects of judging, organisation and promotion (cheers Alana!).
Will this year be better than last year? Or will...
Life? What do you expect to get out of it?
Posted by admin in Reality Wakeup Calls, Thoughts on November 24, 2007 | 2 Comments
Sometimes I get these random thoughts.
What is life? What do I want to do? Why am I alive?
Seriously, I mean why do we live? What do we get out of it? Is life more than just a neverending cycle of waking up, eating, and sleeping?
I seriously don’t know what I want to do with my life. I cannot understand why animals die and why they live. What’s the use of continuing a species?
Take insects for example: They hatch from eggs, eat and grow into adults. The adults then find a partner and the female insect lays eggs and then dies. I really don’t see the meaning of living in the first...
Another Example of Biased Judging - TVNZ Webchallenge 2007

lmao
Biased/Unfair? You decide.
Unique way to start a blog entry eh? Well earlier this year, I entered in the TVNZ Netguide Webchallenge 2007. I had taken a break last year but decided to enter this year as a Secondary Individual entry.

Like every other year I decide to enter, I was pressured against the Webchallenge’s deadlines. I really should start these a lot earlier. But usually I’m missing the ‘motivation’ and that only comes when there are only a few days left
This year I decided to do it on Japan and it’s culture. Why? Those who know me should...
