Friday, Just Your Average Busy Day.

Today had to be one of the most busiest schooldays in my whole 16 years of life.

Well let’s get started on explaining it all.

I had Form Class and 1st period - 3rd period as usual. We had assembly and after listening to a prefect speech and stuff I had to rush down to a Student Council Meeting. We usually have meeting in the conference room. But today apparently we had to go to the Senior Common Room. When you are entering there, you can smell smelling socks and sweat all around. It just creeps into your nostrils. Yuck. I wonder what they do in there =P. I tried to ignore the smell, but I guess got used to it =O. We had to go through our agenda. I am going to ask Mr Lett about the school uniform policy that is coming up later this year. I’ll have to do that around sometime next week. Possibly Thursday, since I am pretty lazy.

These issues were brought up:

  • Toilets in P-Block (Girls) - Lacking a rubbish bin and hand dryer
  • Bars in the river to stop balls flowing downstream
  • Uniform policy
  • World Vision sponsored kid
  • Form class photos
  • Non-lace up shoes for Year 13s.
  • Picnic tables (since 2004)

We went through, trying to be as formal as possible. Apparently there is another student wanting to be voted in as Co-op. My opinion isn’t important, but I thought we didn’t need another one since they reason why we rejected the other two people and voted in Geoferry was because there was a lack of space and Geoferry had proved himself by what he did last year. But majority ruled. I think she’s now in. Nevertheless, I think that she would be a great asset to the Council.

Lunchtime bell ran. I too had to run - to A2 for Anime Club. I apologized 2 times since people rush in at different times, because they had to buy lunch/lockers and so on… I showed Death Note Ep3. I reckon Death Note is an okay anime, not the greatest. Apparently girls like it more and since I placed a notice in the notices indicating we were watching Death Note, there was a increase in numbers of people. Nearly almost the whole class was full. This time not just the juniors.

I also told the people that next Thursday was not going to be a Anime showing day. Instead there would be a quiz type competition and people would have to join groups etc to win a prize. I still don’t know where the prize will come from =P or how I would run the competition. It may be like an instant quiz with buzzers, since they work well and break the ice if you are paired up with someone you don’t know. Well at least for me. It would also be more exciting.

After telling that there was going to be a competition next Thursday a few times throughout the break period, I ran out again to A6. To collect my Table tennis permission slip and to see which team/grade I was in. Guess what? I’m in A1. w00t! It is definitely a dream come true. Premier grade (I think) what! =P. Since there was nothing more to confirm since I am MORE THAN HAPPY, I got a permission slip and went back to AC in A2.

After lunch was over, people went and I had to go to another event. This time it was Mediator’s training. Mediators are like Peace Ambassadors which help disputes and conflicts between people/parties. I was chosen and I was very excited to finish off the training and be considered a Mediator. We had to do mediator practices with senarios in groups of 4 and with a Advanced mediator to be a mentor. We did quite well. When I had to make up a conflict, I was acting all random and asking for roses and chocolates to solve the problem lol. The mentor laughed. We all did =P.

Finally as 3 o clock drawed near, we had a formal graduation (or whatever you call it) assembly where each one of us selected mediators would be awarded a red certificate and a nice shiny blue badge. The blue badge said “CS Mediator” some of my friends said it was ‘Counter-Strike Mediator’ lol! It actually stood for ‘Cool School Mediator’. I was so proud and felt great on the inside that I am doing something good to help the school!

Didn’t have work today so went straight home. I think I went to sleep, couldn’t remember =P.

Ah, today was quite a day. Way too many things to do. But all things were done according to plan and I couldn’t have done better. Excellent day, turned out great.
