If you found an iPod, would you keep it?

I was browsing around my usual bookmarked websites and I came across a topic, titled:

I found an iPod Touch at school. Do I keep or return?

Whoa, for a minute that I was stunned. Was there a real need to even ask such a question? Whoever this idiot is doesn’t care about anything does he?

Judging from the topic, it seems the user has already gotten a iPod or two since he already has the cables etc.

He knows that a problem would be hiding it from his parents, so he was dim-witted enough to ask  ‘how do I hide it from my parents’.

Honestly. Is this how we are heading as people? That iPod Touch he found might have sentimental value as well as having monetary value as well. Who knows, what if that was the last gift some person’s father gave before he died? It would mean a lot to the owner. (Sorry for the bad example)

Anyway, there is also karma. I believe that each time you do something you give and receive positive energy and negative energy. If you do something good, you get and give off positive energy from/to those around you. The opposite happens when you do something bad. Then afterwards, ‘what goes around comes around’. It then affects your life depending on what you did.

I’m not a perfect person. This means that I would doubt I would refrain from getting something free like that, but it makes you think about it. After posting ‘you should return it’ it makes you think on whether you would actually do what you are telling someone else to do. Is that because you are jealous or do you really mean it?

This time round I actually mean it. I lost my mobile and wallet once. Whoever the saint was who decided to hand it in is my nameless hero. If I lost it, I would be so saaaddd.

Here’s an extract from a website I found via Google, which I reckon sums up karma etc up really well:

As Karma teaches us and as the lessons in our life have shown us, the basic "What goes around, comes around". Even young kids are getting the hang of it. Do bad, you gets to pay cause it’s coming back in your way. Those are our actions speaking loudly.

For those of us that never "get away with anything" and always get caught be thankful. Very Thankful. From what I have learned that’s a blessing and you can darn near consider yourself in training. I wouldn’t want all the money in the world for a life’s worth of those folks that never seem to pay for their misdeeds. I would not want to be in their shoes. No body gets away with anything.

For every action there is a reaction that is opposite and equal. Just as our actions and words produce results, both positive and negative, Positive thinking produces positive repercussions and Negative thinking produces negative repercussions.

Imagine standing on a boat in the middle of a lake and you violently rock the boat back and forth. The ripples radiate away from the boat. Thoughts produce the exact same effect and those unseen ripples manifest in the manner they were created.

Makes you think, doesn’t it? I’ve been thinking about Karma lately and been trying to do everything right and make everyone happier. Who knows how it will help me and those who I made happy.
