Joomla? Dunno

I’ve been working on a new pet project today, which involves Joomla. I’ve played around with Joomla about a two years ago (Joomla 1.0) and I found it really hard to use. One good thing with it is that in the administration panel you can get it to do just about anything. But that is also a bad thing. It’s too complex.

So now I’m working on Joomla 1.5. I decided whether I wanted to try out Drupal instead… but Joomla has cooler themes – and there’s nothing better than cool themes.

I’ve gone through and changed things in the theme, enough to build my own. So uh, lawl. I should have tried Drupal -_-

Too bad there is no multi-site feature in Joomla like there is in Drupal -_- multiple installations can get a bit frustrating.

Get Drupal, you won’t regret it. Any questions, I’ll be happy to help, I’ve had about 1 years Drupal experience now. Theming in Drupal isn’t too hard, but I haven’t done anything serious yet.

Drupal has features for the newbies, but also, it has complex features for the professional web developers. Its really easy to use, but powerful as well. :)

Do you have a link to your site?

I shall get a copy and play around with it. At the moment I’m setting two installations for two versions of the website, one as a additional domain in cpanel, that way I can use the same images for both… Only bad thing with it is that I have to go through the admin panel twice, once for each site.

Maybe if I like Drupal I could go ahead and convert the joomla theme onto Drupal xD
