Movin’ to a new host -> ASO

Hey’all.

If you haven’t noticed (which you shouldn’t), I’ve moved the hosting over to another webhost. The website now is hosted at ASO (A Small Orange).

I submitted support tickets and they were answered on average of 3-4 hours. They were answered very clearly and are not pre-written copy/paste messages. Each one was personalized. I was really happy and it made me wonder how important these small things are. Things like ‘I hope you enjoy the rest of the evening!’ from Kathleen (Support) are really nice to read.

My old host lacked support and their servers had way too much security. I had trouble installing Joomla because of permissions. I was also confronted to having to pay for support on how to use the unzip SSH command (even though theirs are different from the normal SSH commands in terms of how it works). I cannot believe it. I paid for hosting NOT support.

The speeds at ASO are definitely better than my previous host. I’ve said this once but I’ll say it again. The old saying goes:

“You get what you pay for” - However, when I’m with ASO Hosting, I feel that what it really should be is - “You get MORE than what you pay for”.

Hopefully, with this new cool fast hosting, it can give me the incentive to post more entries. I just love seeing the orange!
