Safari. Now on Windows too.

Safari for Windows!
Apple secretly loves Microsoft and Microsoft loves Apple back.

Today whilst checking out compatibility plugins and tweaks for this Wordpress blog, I just found out that Apple released a public beta of Safari for Windows!

Being an Apple fan, I’ve always liked Apple’s Mac OSX’s interface. It’s simple yet powerful. I’ve used Apple computers last year when I took computing. It was quite fun. Really different to Windows. The things just… well, work. I’ve also been told by me computing teacher that the OS is very efficient on hardware. For example, old coloured iMacs can still run the latest version of OSX (Tiger) yet the hardware is 2-3 years old. PCs? I bet you can’t run Vista on your Windows 98 Pentium 3.

Safari is a awesome browser. Again, it’s really simple and powerful at the same time. I’ve heard that Safari is the best browser in the world? Well since I design (badly coded) websites, this will really help me see which browsers don’t work as expected.

Before, PC web designers had a hard time making it websites compatible with Safari, as Safari used to be a Apple OS exclusive, meaning it was only on Apple OSs. However now designers can make it work on all browsers! So no more excuses ;)

I guess one of the reasons to develop a Windows version would have to be the iPhone and iPod Touch. Both having internet capabilities, it would be an important factor for the sales. Afterall, the more easier it is to surf webpages on the iPhone/Touch, the more sales they will generate. Simple. Typical of Apple.

Anywho, those who would like to get a copy of this public beta can navigate to: Safari’s Download Page (’pop’)

Enjoy, I know I would.

Until next time,

C’ya
